By ferry from Boston through the Harbor Islands
The ferry crosses the wonderful view of the Harbour Islands, a rare beauty nature park I absolutely recommend you to visit.
The ferry allows to avoid Boston traffic and you can have the trip to Nantasket from morning until evening to enjoy the long and boundless beaches and the seaside atmosphere the destination offers.
The geographical configuration of the place is particular (it is along an isthmus): on one side there’s the ocean in its vastness, and on the other side of the road what seems to be a calm lagoon where to relax, with wonderful little houses overlooking. But actually it is however sea, calm and peaceful.
You can have a look at the map to realize it.
Stay at Nantasket Beach Resort
Obviously my tip is to spend here at least a few days: one day isn’t certainly enough to enjoy this place. And as regards the stay, my tip is the Nantasket Beach Resort.
It’s in the picturesque Hull seaside, between Boston and Cape Cod, a unique place with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s literally a fairytale place.
The facility is almost completely renewed and the rooms are wide and comfortable.
Our room was even furnished with fireplace and hydro massage.
Fridge and microwave couldn’t miss, besides the always available ice in the corridors.
The sea view is amazing and the balcony allows to relax, maybe sipping a cocktail and enjoy the sound of the ocean.
By now you know how I love the sound of the ocean…so unlike the one of all other seas!
Lobsters and delicacies
At dinner is de rigueur to choose the restaurant on the first floor with sea view tables.
Don’t you believe it? Look at here!
Valeria and I couldn’t resist to this delicacies!
In the evening there are many proposals.
For example you can relax at the café, maybe listening to very good live music.
They are really good!
A pleasure to listen to them!Stay at Nantasket Beach Resort for a dream #vacation at #sea in #Boston! @visitMA #visitMA Click To Tweet
Of course this is a not considered option with Valeria!
With her we go to the beach after dinner, too, to wait for the sunset!
Do you think to go sleeping on your return? No way!
Relax and fun at Nantasket Beach Resort
A dive into the swimming pool, desert by now, is just what’s needed!
Of course, you can also relax in the heated hydro massage.
A real paradise!
You think in the Summer the facility is opened and the swimming pool become outside.
In the evening at the hotel you can shoot pool, too.
The most early-risers won’t disdain the yoga courses at dawn on the beach.
On the contrary, yoga is a too calm activity for us. What do you think, Valeria?
The hotel settings are refined and elegant: they are areas where it’s nice to stop and relax.
The long beaches allow walks and morning runs but also simply to relax and look at the ocean, getting lost in one’s own thoughts in total peace.Long #beaches for unforgettable vacations at only 25 minutes from #Boston by ferryboat. @visitMA… Click To Tweet
The neighbored area is really nice and above all very handy. As always, Americans are past masters in this aspects.
Great green areas, wide sidewalks, several parking.
All within reach.
Of course, the possibility to practice all sorts of water sport doesn’t miss.
Here the most active people will find a very wide offer for fun and adventure.
Renting boats, cruises with dinner, going to the sea for fishing or at sunset, sailing, kayak, bicycle, mini-golf…
Then if it’s enough a green meadow to run and jump like Valeria…
Vacations at sea in Boston
Absolutely not to miss is the seashore, too. Some places have to be seen by sea, I always repeat it.
Here it’s possible to admire fairy yachts, book all sorts of excursions, have lunch in the thousand places overlooking the sea admiring the come and going of the boats and go unrestrained shopping in many distinctive little shops.
What else? Ah, yeah! I forgot.
Admiring the Boston skyline from this perspective, with planes taking off and landing at the International Airport, is wonderful!
