Holland in houseboat
We left by car from Alexandria and in one night we arrived at our destination.
A quick explanation on the rail of the boat and we went to discover these beautiful canals.
The interior of the boat is very well kept, almost entirely of wood, clean and new.
The cabins are very spacious and the upper deck is large. The captain of the boat was my dad and at the end of the holiday had become really good at driving it.
…Under some really we past to a few centimeters.
Holland by bike
Every now we made a stop and we tied the boat.
We took our bikes loaded on and off in the middle of nature, or to the villages in the Holand. It was fun to do the races with my mom, but I won almost always!
When we went in the middle of nature was really great to see a lot of birds that nested in those places.
The white storks were really magnificent when they flew were elegant!
In every village we have visited, I have always found a playground.
It is very different from ours: there were swings, pulley, slides and each country had a typical game. All in perfect working order and well kept.
One day we went up in the northern part of Holland and despite the windy and the stormy my mom and I went to bike up on top of the big dam.
There was a absurd cold , but it was worth it because the view from up there was spectacular and really see the difference between the high waves out into the open sea, and tranquility inside it was very interesting.
Fields of tulips
We returned to the boat all wet and very tired, but happy.
To the south we found a large number of fields of tulips of all colors, from classic red to yellow, fuchsia, purple and many other colors. The view was magnificent: large expanses of all colors.
We had the opportunity to enter into a field and take some pictures in the fields of tulips.
Camping near the lake
When we gave back the boat, our trip continued for several days around the Holand in camping.
For me it was the first time and sleep in a tent, I found it really fun and adventurous.
At every camping, there were at least two playgrounds all beautiful.
In the last camping where we were on Easter Sunday I tried even windsurfing.
I enjoyed it very much, even though at first I was always in the water and I could not stand up.
When I started to learn a bit and I learn to stay on the board the teacher did me a lot of compliments.
The most difficult thing was to hear the explanations in English, translate it in my mind and follow his directions quickly.
Overall it was a holiday that has remained in my heart and I hope to repeat.
After so many absurd places like Nepal … I really need to see some civilized country! Who knows where it will take us to the next holiday?
